On Monday afternoon, around 4 p.m., a KC130 Hercules transport plane went down in Leflore County, Mississippi.\u00a0 All 16 servicemen aboard, including 15 Marines<\/a> and a Navy<\/a> corpsman, were killed in the service’s deadliest aviation accident in years.\u00a0 The servicemen were participating in a predeployment training exercise.<\/p>\n

The flight contained members of the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR452) 452, a New York-based Reserve unit out of Stewart Air National Guard base<\/a>, and the 2nd Marine Raider Battalion out of Camp Lejeune<\/a>, North Carolina.<\/p>\n
